# 4. OA Deals

# Complete list of agreements with OA component

**“Read & Publish” agreements** have been made with the publishers listed below, allowing for the publication of articles at no cost, or at a discount, in certain Hybrid OA and Gold OA journals.

*SNSF-funded researchers:* All Gold OA fees (books, book chapters and articles) of SNSF-funded researchers at Unil are [covered by the SNSF](https://www.snf.ch/en/VyUvGzptStOEpUoC/topic/open-access-publications), with the exception of the agreements listed below which also include Gold OA journals.

*Researchers without an SNSF grant:* Gold OA fees for books [are also covered by the SNSF](https://www.snf.ch/en/uFmFFmMJGrnt1t49/funding/open-access-book-publications). For Gold OA articles not covered by Read & Publish agreements, or chapters or books in Gold OA, Unil/CHUV/Unisanté authors are invited to consult the eligibility conditions of their [Unil Gold Open Access Fund](https://www.unil.ch/unil/en/home/menuinst/recherche/open-science/open-access/soutien-360/accords-oa/fonds-gold-open-access.html).

When these options are not applicable, Unil generally encourages [Green OA (self-archiving in Serval)](https://www.unil.ch/unil/en/home/menuinst/recherche/open-science/open-access/soutien-360/voie-verte.html). For example, if the annual quotas for publications linked to some of the agreements listed below are exhausted, Unil/CHUV authors are advised to favor Green OA when publishing in Hybrid OA journals.


##### **Total or Partial APC Subsidy**

Conditions to be met in all cases:

- The corresponding author of the submitted article must be a member of Unil/CHUV/Unisanté.
- <span lang="EN-US" style="mso-ansi-language: EN-US;">The research leading to the publication must have been conducted at Unil.</span>
- <span lang="EN-US" style="mso-ansi-language: EN-US;">Former researchers who are no longer affiliated with Unil may be eligible for coverage of their publication fees, provided that the research leading to the publication was conducted at Unil and the work was submitted within one year of the end of their affiliation.</span>
- The affiliation details in the article must clearly indicate the author's affiliation to Unil/CHUV/Unisanté. Please follow the indications in [Directive 4.3](https://www.unil.ch/files/live/sites/unil/files/02-universite/0212-cadres-legal-reglementaire/textes-leg/4-rech/dir4-3-affiliation-chercheurs1.pdf) regarding author affiliation.
- Ideally, the author will [use his/her ORCID ID](http://youtu.be/ECpTvy7IOfk) .
- Whenever possible, use your @unil, @chuv or @unisante email address to make the submission.
