Home office
Below, you will find all tools and services that will help you to be able to work remotely.
Access your mailbox
Please use Outlook Online (webmail) to access your mailbox from every device (laptop, phone, etc.). You can log in on https://outlook.office.com with your UNIL credentials.
Access UNIL resources and services (NAS server, website, etc.)
Access to UNIL storage servers requires a connection to the UNIL network. To configure this access, please use the Ivanti Secure application to establish a secure VPN connection. If you need to access CHUV resources such as your CHUV email, you can also configure VPN access to the CHUV network with Ivanti Secure.
Making and answering calls
You can activate your UNIL phone on Microsoft Teams so that you can still be reached by phone even when working from home. Teams also allows you to make calls within UNIL as well as outside the university. For units with a secretarial office, you can request the configuration and activation of a call queue.
Collaborate together
With Microsoft Teams, you can create Teams channel to discuss and collaborate on documents. To avoid being disturbed, you can change your status on Microsfot Teams from Available to Busy.
Organize meetings
Whether your meetings are one-off or regular, you can join them via Microsoft Teams. You can invite external users by copying the meeting link and sending it by email so that they can join from their web browser if they don't have Teams. During your meetings, you can share your screen and chat with your colleagues in the app.
